The South Windsor Public Schools World Language Program prepares students to be linguistically and culturally proficient global citizens so that they may thrive in our multilingual and multicultural society.
World Language students:
Demonstrate Resilience: Embrace the challenges of acquiring new languages and cultural knowledge with persistence, adaptability, and a growth mindset, understanding that language learning is a lifelong journey.
Are Engaged Learners: Actively participate in meaningful, communicative language experiences that connect them to diverse perspectives.
Act with Social Consciousness: Develop empathy, respect, and an awareness of global issues by understanding the lived experiences and traditions of others, preparing them to contribute positively to their local and global communities.
Feel Empowered: Gain confidence in their linguistic and cultural proficiency in order to communicate effectively and authentically across cultures.
